Your trip with Light Up Hope funds community development projects which help break the cycle of poverty for impoverished children, youths and families. Light Up Hope has been organizing trips to Kenya since 2009, and has been doing development projects since 2011. Our trips are designed to give you a unique cross-cultural experience. An opportunity to not only travel to a new place, and enjoy the beauty of Kenya, but also to develop relationships with the Kenyan people, and participate in helping to solve global poverty.

Choose from a variety of once-in-a-lifetime experiences! Whether you are petting a baby elephant, riding a mountain bike through the forest, or having a barbecue with students in our program, there is plenty of time for fun on our trips! And of course, the highlight of which is a safari where you will view herds of elephants, zebra, antelope and maybe even the elusive African big cats: leopards, lions and cheetahs.
Trip Inclusions
Lodging in high quality hotels and resorts, airport transport to/from hotel, in-country transportation, American and English speaking Kenyan guides, all activities and lunches. Safari includes: game drive provided by Light Up Hope, and all meals at the safari lodge.

What to Expect
Your group will serve together during your customized itinerary, connect with Kenyan children, young adults and families, learn more about Kenya and volunteer your time and talents to help other people improve their lives, while also having your life improved! The trip will wrap up with a two day safari where the team will unwind and reflect on all they experienced.
Itinerary & Upgrades
All trips include 7-10 days and nights in Kenya in standard accommodation, including a two day safari to Tsavo East or Amboseli National Park, park entrance fees, game drive with Light Up Hope, English Speaking Kenyan guide, all in-country transportation and meals. Does Not include round trip airfare to Kenya, pocket money, alcoholic or resort beverages, travel insurance, travel vaccinations or medications.
Add on a trip to the coast of Kenya and enjoy the beaches of Mombasa for a few days to relax in the Indian ocean and experience the Swahili culture, rich with spicy food and relaxation. Or for those individuals and groups who want a more extensive safari, you can add on one of our Amboseli or Masai Mara Safaris.
